Pancreatic Cancer Series
Stage 3 Pancreatic Cancer found me in 2022 and the prognosis was dire. Miraculously after twelve chemo cycles the treatments worked, the tumor shrunk and I had successful surgery in 2023. Although I’m currently in remission (so far) cancer still has its tight grip on me. I once thought after recovering from surgery I could jump right back to my “before” life. I can’t. Having cancer changes everything, like a wheel turning in your head-you are different.
This latest series is an attempt to slay the cancer demons that still haunt me. I can’t look away but must look deeper. Painting this experience is my only way forward.
